The School of Night: Spirit of the Fringe

We are humbled and yet proud to announce that we are the recipients of Mervyn Stutter's Spirit of the Fringe award for our Edinburgh 2012 run.

These awards have been presented by Mervyn ever since he began the showcase back in 1992, making them one of the longest running awards on the Fringe.

“Mervyn’s show and the Spirit of the Fringe Awards are a worthwhile reminder of what the Fringe was initially for.” Stewart Lee

Global Bardics

On June 22nd, The School of Night will welcome actors and theatre makers from around the Globe to Sheffield, for the International Student Drama Festival.

In the Crucible Theatre, groups from Germany, Australia, Zimbabwe, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Palestine, The USA and Iran - as well as England and Wales - will meet for the first time, as the School opens the Festival with a bespoke session of summoning the Muses and raising the dead.

The following day some of the fraters will take part in a panel discussion as to whether directors are still necessary to today's theatre.
